Civil/Structural Engineer - Solar PV and Wind Power

About the role

AFRY, an international power-sector consulting and engineering company, is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer (Senior Engineer) for its South-East Asian Transmission & Distribution team, based in Bangkok. The role covers civil and structural design support for solar PV and wind power projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide civil and structural design inputs for conceptual design studies, feasibility studies and technical due diligence of renewable energy projects
• Prepare technical specifications for civil and structural works to be used for tendering
• Act as Owner's Engineer, checking EPC compliance with the Owner's technical specifications for civil and structural design
• Review and comment on EPC civil and structural design documents, including drawings, specifications and design calculations
• Take part in design review meetings and coordinate with Owner's Engineer site engineers on site issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in civil works design and structural design, with at least 2 years in engineering design or design reviews
• Experience in thermal power plants, solar farms and wind farms is an advantage
• Engineering license level I or higher in Thailand is an advantage
• Good command of English and Thai, and good interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Knowledge of international codes such as EUROCODE, ACI, IBC, ASCE and AISC
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office, SAP 2000, STAADPRO and ROBOT
