Head of Indirect Tax Compliance – Bangkok (Relocation Provided)

About the role

Agoda is seeking a Head of Indirect Tax Compliance to lead VAT, sales tax, GST and other indirect tax matters across all markets where the company operates. Based in Bangkok with relocation support, you will report to the Associate Director, Tax and work closely with Finance, Legal, IT and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end indirect tax compliance and advisory activities for the global business.
• Assess indirect tax positions, interpret tax regulations and define requirements for new products or programs.
• Monitor global indirect tax developments, evaluate impact, and implement necessary process changes.
• Lead indirect tax projects, ensuring new service or country launches are tax‑compliant and timely.
• Integrate indirect tax requirements into internal systems, particularly Oracle, and reconcile VAT/GST with financial statements.
• Coordinate with external advisors to obtain tax advice, ensure accurate reporting and timely payments.
• Promote indirect tax awareness across the Agoda group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Extensive experience in indirect tax compliance, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex tax regulations.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, legal, IT and business stakeholders.
