Mechanical Design Engineer – High‑Rise Buildings

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in high‑rise building projects to join its Built Environment team in Bangkok. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary group of specialists to create innovative mechanical and plumbing solutions for complex structures.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for high‑rise buildings using Revit.
• Develop detailed BIM models and construction documentation.
• Perform calculations and ensure designs meet project specifications.
• Update and modify existing models and documents as required.
• Support creation and maintenance of regional BIM templates.
• Participate in coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution.
• Assist with information exchange between internal and external stakeholders throughout construction phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of design modelling and drawing production.
• Familiarity with BIM standards such as BIMForum LOD, AIA and NBIMS.
• Interest in construction technology and best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit for BIM modelling.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Navisworks.
• Ability to work with Bluebeam.
