Project Design Manager, MEP (Buildings/Data Center)

About the role

The Project Design Manager, MEP will join Aurecon's Buildings business in Bangkok, leading multidisciplinary design teams to deliver complex building and data‑center projects from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end project delivery, from initial design to construction handover and final review.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on day‑to‑day matters.
• Lead and coordinate a large, multi‑disciplinary team of engineers, designers and drafters across mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, security, architectural and ICT disciplines.
• Collaborate with regional design teams to ensure overall design integrity.
• Oversee production of detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculations, BIM models and reports.
• Chair internal and external design meetings and manage client feedback.
• Control project budgets, schedules, quality assurance and risk management.
• Assist in workload planning, resource forecasting and proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale MEP projects in the building or data‑center sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent client‑facing abilities and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of construction and engineering project management principles.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
