Graduate CAD & BIM Technician

About the role

Egis, a global organisation in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services, is hiring a Graduate CAD & BIM Technician in Bangkok. The technician carries out 3D modelling and drafting of structures under the supervision of a Structural Engineer or Project Manager, supporting projects implemented globally.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 3D models and 2D drawings of reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete and steel structures, including general and detailed drawings
• Follow instructions from the Structural Engineer to create high-quality 3D models and technical drawings
• Use CAD and BIM tools to produce models and drawings following general and project drawing standards
• Manage CAD and BIM files in a document management system (DMS)
• Develop programs for automated CAD/BIM production
• Work with a design team and review CAD/BIM models with engineers, making required adjustments
• Attend internal technical meetings with engineers and other draftsmen and ensure the quality of deliverables
• Comply with the company's Safety Policy and Quality Management System

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil or Structural Engineering (mandatory)
• BIM modelling and design diploma preferred
• Proven experience as a BIM modeller or drafter on structure projects
• Thai and English for business purposes
• Good level of spoken and written English and ability to work in an international context
• Ability to work under pressure and in a collaborative team

Required skills

• CAD and BIM modelling and drafting
• Knowledge of other software such as Revit is a plus
• Basic understanding of structure design, materials and construction processes
• Programming and use of related tools
