Groups & Events Manager - Wedding

About the role

The Groups & Events Manager – Wedding will lead the hotel’s groups and events sales function, driving revenue and ensuring the achievement of financial objectives. Based in Bangkok, you will work closely with the Director of Groups & Events and the sales team to develop strategies, acquire new markets and deliver exceptional wedding events.

Key responsibilities

• Generate revenue for groups and events, meeting monthly and yearly targets.
• Develop and maintain a groups and events forecast in coordination with the Director.
• Create and implement an effective sales strategy, including acquisition of new markets.
• Set, monitor and review goals for the sales team and individual members.
• Identify low‑demand periods and propose solutions together with the Director and sales team.
• Lead, train, develop and support the Groups & Events team, including onboarding new members.
• Control performance of subordinate team members and conduct regular competition checks.
• Analyse and utilise the Mystery Shopper programme and encourage cross‑selling within the Kempinski Group.

Required profile

• Proven ability to achieve revenue objectives for groups and events.
• Experience in setting and reviewing sales targets for a team.
• Leadership, training, development, encouragement and support of a sales team.
• Capability to identify demand gaps and coordinate solutions with senior management.

Required skills

• Analysis and utilisation of Mystery Shopper programmes.
• Supervising regular competition checks.
• Cross‑selling techniques within a hotel group.
