Lead Generation Consultant for ASEAN Investment Forum

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) seeks a senior consultant to lead investor outreach for the ASEAN Investment Forum 2026 in Manila. The consultant will identify, qualify and mobilise senior decision‑makers from Australian and UK capital sources to invest in Southeast Asian projects.

Key responsibilities

• Phase 1: Analyse ESCAP’s project portfolio, design an Australian/UK investor search strategy, research ~50 prospects and qualify ~40 priority targets.
• Phase 2: Refine investor propositions, conduct executive outreach, secure Forum registrations, maintain an engagement tracker and provide weekly reports.
• Phase 3: Coordinate delegate logistics, deliver pre‑event briefings, host the investor delegation in Manila (9‑11 Nov 2026), facilitate matchmaking meetings and manage post‑event follow‑up.
• Deliver all outputs on time, ensure quality of prospects, capture market intelligence and hand over all documentation to ESCAP.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, business, international development or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in foreign direct investment, investment attraction or trade missions.
• Proven experience in renewable energy, infrastructure or critical minerals investment lead generation for investment promotion agencies.
• Familiarity with the ASEAN investment environment and experience arranging country delegations.
• Professional fluency in English.
