Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

About the role

The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist will support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems for Global Fund‑supported health programmes managed by UNOPS. Working closely with programme teams and partners, the specialist ensures timely data collection, validation, analysis and reporting to drive evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and technological inputs into the design, implementation and improvement of monitoring and evaluation systems, policies, tools and processes.
• Adapt fit‑to‑context monitoring and evaluation approaches, leveraging adaptive modalities and technological tools.
• Coordinate the implementation and continuous improvement of monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities.
• Ensure timely collection, validation, analysis and reporting of programme performance data.
• Strengthen data quality and partner monitoring capacities.
• Offer technical guidance to National Programmes, Sub‑Recipients and implementing partners.

Required profile

• Works under the direct supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Manager.
• Collaborates closely with programme teams and key stakeholders.
