Solar / Wind Civil & Structural Engineer

About the role

AFRY, a European engineering, design and advisory firm, is expanding its multidisciplinary engineering team in Thailand and Southeast Asia. It is seeking a Civil / Structural Engineer to support the engineering and design delivery of industrial and energy projects, including solar and wind. The role covers structural analysis, design development and engineering coordination from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement and construction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and steel structures, including foundations, slabs, frames, equipment supports and industrial facilities.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, design documents, specifications and construction drawings.
• Apply engineering codes and standards such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, Eurocodes and local regulations.
• Develop and review structural models in SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS or equivalent.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, BIM teams and other disciplines.
• Support FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, as well as due diligence, technical advisory, project development, feasibility studies and owner's engineer design review projects.
• Take part in design reviews, technical discussions and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Support construction with responses to technical queries, RFIs and site issues.
• Review and coordinate BIM and 3D models (Revit, TEKLA Structures, Civil 3D).
• Deliverables must meet project schedules, quality standards and client requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Associate Engineer License (Level 1) issued by the Council of Engineers (COE), Thailand.
• 4-8 years of experience in civil and structural engineering design.
• Experience in industrial, power, renewable energy, infrastructure or EPC projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with steel and reinforced concrete structural design.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Required skills

• SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS or equivalent structural analysis software.
• AutoCAD, and preferably Revit, TEKLA Structures or Civil 3D.
• ACI, AISC, ASCE and Eurocodes.
• Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis, IDEA StatiCa or Tekla Structural Designer is an advantage.
