About the role
Agoda’s Platform team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of high‑performance back‑end systems that serve millions of travelers daily. Based in Bangkok with relocation support, you will work on mission‑critical services, leveraging modern languages and data technologies to drive scalability and reliability.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience building performance‑critical applications using Scala, Java, Kotlin or similar languages.
- Strong expertise in relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL.
- Proven ability to set technical vision, direct large‑scale projects and make architectural decisions.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience implementing advanced CI/CD pipelines and robust testing strategies.
- Passion for continuous learning and software craftsmanship.
