Structural Engineer - Bridge

About the role

Egis, a global organisation in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services, is hiring a Structural Engineer for its Global Design Center in Bangkok. The engineer supports international projects by designing structures under the supervision of a Design or Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and detailed design for bridges, viaducts and other civil structures
• Prepare design and calculation reports
• Follow up with CAD and BIM production so it matches the design
• Prepare bills of quantities
• Attend meetings and prepare or distribute minutes
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports and other documentation
• Ensure the quality of design deliverables, including calculation reports and drawings
• Comply with the company's Safety Policy and Quality Management System

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
• Up to three years of experience in civil works design and structural design, with aptitude for bridges
• Good level of English (speaking and writing)
• Ability to work in an international context and under pressure
• Engineering license level I in Thailand is an advantage

Required skills

• Knowledge of international codes such as Eurocodes, ACI and AASHTO
• Familiarity with structural modelling software such as Sofistik, SCIA or Midas
• Pack Office skills, with mastery of Excel (VBA is a plus)
