Accounting Consultant – Japanese Language Required

About the role

Forvis Mazars, a global leader in audit, tax and advisory services, is seeking an Accounting Consultant with strong Japanese language skills to work in Bangkok, with the possibility of rotation to Tokyo. The role combines Thai and Japanese experience, supporting international companies across both markets.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial records in compliance with accepted policies.
• Prepare management reports for client’s management use.
• Provide value‑added, business‑oriented advice to clients.
• Handle indirect (consumption) tax and withholding tax issues and returns.
• Manage corporate income tax issues and returns.
• Assist in supporting tax investigations.
• Develop expertise in accounting software such as NetSuite, Xero, SAP and reporting tools like Blackline.
• Undertake a variety of problem‑solving exercises.

Required profile

• Thai nationality.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent with demonstrated potential).
• Proven aptitude in the use of Excel.
• Strong Japanese language skills (minimum JLPT N2) and a desire to advance.
• Reasonable English communication skills and willingness to work in a multilingual environment (Thai, English, Japanese).
