About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) seeks a Health Coordinator to lead health sector activities under the EU refugees transition project in Thailand. The role focuses on ensuring coordinated, strategic, and effective health services for vulnerable refugees across nine camps along the Thai‑Myanmar border.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee management and distribution of health insurance packages for refugees in all nine camps.
- Coordinate with Thai authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders to align health service delivery with government transition plans.
- Advocate for policies that support sustainable health solutions and social cohesion for refugee populations.
- Monitor and evaluate health program performance, ensuring compliance with IRC standards and donor requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to field staff and partners on health service implementation.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in humanitarian health programming, preferably in refugee contexts.
- Strong understanding of health insurance mechanisms and health system transition processes.
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills with the ability to work collaboratively with government and partner agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑changing environment.
