Category Development Marketer – Consumer (SEA)

About the role

3M is seeking a proactive Category Development Marketer to drive consumer‑focused growth across the Southeast Asia region. You will own the end‑to‑end process from portfolio strategy to product launch, ensuring strong market performance and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead category growth and consumer insight initiatives, delivering organic sales, margin and market‑share targets.
• Adapt and execute portfolio strategies for each country, analysing market, competitor and consumer data.
• Manage product lifecycle, new‑product introductions, packaging, regulatory affairs and availability.
• Develop and implement pricing strategies to protect standard margins and respond to cost changes.
• Own campaign planning, timing, SKU‑level promotions and media coordination with CCX.
• Analyse syndicated data to identify growth opportunities and manage local activation budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, brand or category development.
• Strong understanding of consumer behavior, campaign management and margin optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Own a car for regional travel.
