Data Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Thailand is seeking a Data Officer to strengthen its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) functions. Reporting to the MEAL Coordinator, the role will work closely with program teams across the Thailand‑Myanmar border to ensure high‑quality data collection, management and analysis that support effective humanitarian programming.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and archive M&E documentation, tools, data files, analysis outputs and reports in shared drives or cloud storage.
• Assist in designing and adapting data collection methodologies, tools and schedules to meet program needs.
• Implement data quality control procedures, including the use of data collection sheets and timing checks.
• Support the development and implementation of the country‑level monitoring and evaluation framework.
• Collaborate with sector teams to ensure data are accurate, timely and useful for program decision‑making.
• Contribute to the preparation of monitoring reports, presentations and learning materials.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in data management, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple program teams.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Thai is an advantage.
