Manager, Solutions & Engineering – APAC

About the role

The APAC Solutions and Engineering Manager leads a regional team to develop complete technical solutions and production line concepts for food‑processing customers. Reporting to the Senior Director, DF&H APAC, the role integrates equipment from JBT Marel and external suppliers into efficient, technically sound solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and set performance expectations for the APAC Solutions Engineering team.
• Develop technical solutions and production line concepts based on customer requirements, selecting and integrating equipment from internal and external sources.
• Coordinate vendor quotations, ensure technical alignment, and manage risk analysis and mitigation.
• Oversee preparation of technical drawings, layouts, utility designs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify automation and system integration needs, define interfaces and work with specialists, suppliers and integrators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of engineering experience in food processing or production, with 3–5 years in team leadership or senior technical roles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across sales, engineering, project management, customers and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel regularly across APAC and work outside normal business hours when required.
