AI-Assisted Codebase Migrator Development Internship

About the role

The Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) in the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) is offering a five‑month, full‑time, unpaid internship in Bangkok. The role focuses on developing an AI‑assisted tool to migrate codebases, providing hands‑on experience with modern software development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain Java, Spring Boot, and React code for the migrator application.
• Deploy, test, and troubleshoot the application in a cloud‑based environment.
• Commit code to Git repositories and follow version‑control best practices.
• Participate in weekly sprint meetings and contribute to agile planning.
• Prepare technical documentation and demo the application to stakeholders.

Required profile
