Assistant Manager - Sales

About the role

BASF SE is seeking an Assistant Manager – Sales to join its Bangkok office. The role focuses on driving sales growth for polymer solutions, particularly polyurethane, while supporting customers across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets in terms of cCM1 and volume.
• Gather and update market intelligence on customers, competitors and market trends.
• Provide accurate APO forecasts and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Technical Development and Global Key Account Management to ensure smooth business operations.
• Record customer interactions, opportunities, risks and requirements in Salesforce.
• Lead innovation and sustainability projects with existing and new customers.
• Develop relationships at all organizational levels to understand short‑ and long‑term customer needs.
• Maintain and improve volume forecasting accuracy.
• Prepare and update key account plans with strategic actions.
• Support team spirit and contribute to additional tasks assigned by the operational leader.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales or market development experience in the chemical industry, preferably with polyurethane.
• Strong knowledge of polymers, especially polyurethane.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficient computer skills.
