Automation Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Michelin Asia Pacific (Thailand) is looking for an Automation Maintenance Engineer in Ban-Khai to improve equipment reliability, automation performance and maintenance efficiency across its manufacturing operations. The team strengthens technical standards, optimizes maintenance strategies and develops maintenance capabilities so that manufacturing equipment runs safely, reliably and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Drive automation equipment reliability by developing and improving technical standards and maintenance strategies for automation systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot recurring failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve machine performance while optimizing maintenance costs.
• Build technical competencies in maintenance teams through coaching, training, knowledge sharing and standardized practices.
• Develop and maintain machine technical standards, documentation and maintenance instructions.
• Support equipment setting, commissioning, adjustment, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans and equipment obsolescence strategies.
• Provide technical support for automation and equipment breakdowns and eliminate recurring failures.
• Monitor and control machine technical parameters to ensure stable performance and improve availability, reliability and OEE.
• Optimize spare parts requirements and maintenance costs, and conduct technical analysis to identify performance improvements.
• Develop training materials, one-point lessons and maintenance guidelines, and coach maintenance teams on Level 1 and Level 2 competencies.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and maintenance teams on continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in automation maintenance, electrical maintenance, control systems or manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and maintenance principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Thai and English.
