BCIS Secondary Science Teacher

About the role

The BCIS Secondary Science Teacher will inspire students in the science classroom, fostering enjoyment and success in learning. Reporting to the Head of Secondary, the role involves delivering the National Curriculum of England and Wales in an international setting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Science lessons in line with the National Curriculum of England and Wales and exam board specifications.
• Assess, record and report student progress, providing regular feedback and using assessment data to inform future planning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of all learners, including EAL and SEN students.
• Collaborate with the Head of Department, other teachers and support staff to develop schemes of work, organise trips and ensure smooth transitions between programmes.

• Ability to work under the direction of the Head of Secondary and to take responsibility for designated Science classes.
• Willingness to participate in professional development, extra‑curricular activities and school events.
