Business Development Manager - Power & Renewable Energy

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the Power & Renewable Energy sector across Thailand and the Greater Mekong Region. The role focuses on expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and delivering tailored solutions to power developers and energy stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business growth and market expansion within the Power & Renewable Energy sector in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Region (Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia).
• Identify and develop new opportunities related to owner’s engineering, technical advisory, testing, inspection, and certification services.
• Build and maintain relationships with power developers, utilities, EPC contractors, investors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Lead client engagement, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and project acquisition.
• Promote Bureau Veritas services across conventional power, renewable energy, and energy transition projects.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, sales, technical advisory, owner’s engineering, TIC or project management consulting within the power or renewable energy sector.
• Established network with developers, utilities, EPC contractors and other energy stakeholders in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Region.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Thai.
• Willingness to travel as required for business development activities.

Required skills

• Technical understanding of power generation, transmission, distribution and renewable energy projects.
• Experience in owner’s engineering and technical advisory services.
