Chemistry Teacher for International Curriculum

About the role

Teach Chemistry to secondary students at Crest School, delivering a rigorous, inclusive curriculum aligned with the British National Curriculum and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for pupils of all abilities.
• Develop and align schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments with Cambridge/Edexcel and Ministry of Education requirements.
• Prepare students for external examinations, including mock exams and A‑Levels.
• Provide targeted academic interventions, remedial and extension sessions based on data analysis.
• Lead pastoral initiatives, safeguard students, and maintain a respectful classroom environment.
• Organise subject clubs, educational visits, and extracurricular projects while ensuring risk compliance.
• Communicate regularly with parents about pupil progress and contribute to school-wide events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Chemistry or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience teaching secondary‑level Chemistry.
• Strong understanding of curriculum standards, assessment methods and data‑driven monitoring.
• Ability to work cross‑culturally and create an inclusive learning environment.

Required skills

• Curriculum development and lesson planning for Chemistry.
