Claims Director

About the role

As a Claims Director based in Bangkok, you will lead the claims function, overseeing a team of adjusters and managing the full lifecycle of claims. This senior role involves strategy development, client interaction, and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of claims strategy to optimise operations, minimise costs and maximise service levels.
• Coach, develop and motivate team members to ensure delivery of required standards and manage complex claim files.
• Examine insurance policies to determine coverage, conduct site visits, and negotiate settlements in line with client contracts.
• Respond to insureds, carriers and brokers within Sedgwick’s KPIs and drive SLAs, KPIs and performance targets.
• Assist in business development, marketing, policy establishment, and ensure compliance with best practices and regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor degree or relevant insurance certifications (e.g., ANZIIF, AICLA).
• At least 3 years of leadership experience managing teams and acting as a key interface between senior leadership and operational staff.
• Strong people management, coaching capability and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in a similar market environment is preferred.
