Data Engineer (Data Lake) - All Levels

About the role

Capco, a Wipro company and global technology and management consultancy for the financial services industry, is hiring a Data Engineer (Intermediate/Senior) in Bangkok. You will work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, BI developers and client technology teams to design and implement reusable data ingestion and transformation pipelines in a Data Lake/Lakehouse programme.

Key responsibilities

• Develop batch, CDC and/or streaming data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Implement Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers, including data cleansing, transformation and standardisation.
• Build reusable data pipelines and support data product implementation.
• Set up data quality, reconciliation, validation and monitoring controls.
• Support data migration, integration testing, UAT and production release.
• Work with the architecture team to follow agreed cloud, security, governance and engineering standards.
• Support knowledge transfer and BAU handover.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Experience in an end-to-end enterprise data transformation, from source ingestion to governed data products and business reporting.
• Experience in financial services, especially asset management or large-scale data transformation, is advantageous.
• Preferred: experience in an asset management company, fintech or another regulated industry.

Required skills

• Databricks, Azure, SQL, Python/PySpark, ETL/ELT, Delta Lake, data modelling, data quality and CI/CD.
