EHS Officer

About the role

Brenntag is looking for an EHS Officer in Samutprakarn to handle occupational health, safety and environment compliance, training and management support. The role covers regulatory compliance, hazard identification, incident investigation, emergency response drills and EHS training, and works closely with the QSHE Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure OHS&E compliance with local regulations, the Integrated Management System and international standards, and give advice to employees and functions on regulatory requirements.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments, and propose corrective and preventive actions using the hierarchy of controls.
• Initiate EHS plans and projects, inspect operations against them, and investigate the root causes of incidents and illnesses.
• Coordinate the Emergency Response Plan and run drills, and keep track of safety regulation updates.
• Organise EHS training, act as subject matter expert, and run orientation and mandatory courses for newcomers and contractors, including chemical safety handling for customers if required.
• Support the QSHE Manager, promote EHS activities such as near-miss reporting, safety talks and BBS, and provide EHS statistics and performance reports.
• Provide information for new projects and perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environment or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment framework.
• Prior experience with OH&S management systems and environmental management systems.
