Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing team building and scaling products used by millions across Southeast Asia. The role combines technical leadership, architecture decisions, and people management to deliver reliable, fast‑moving engineering outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend and full‑stack development.
• Own delivery for major product areas, ensuring speed without compromising reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, mobile, backend and AI teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical execution.
• Drive architecture and decisions for APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure and customer‑facing systems.
• Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, security and production reliability.
• Mentor engineers through feedback, coaching and performance management.
• Improve processes, tooling and automation to increase velocity and scale.
• Monitor production systems, resolve incidents and ensure repeatable reliability.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with production‑grade systems experience.
• Proven experience leading or managing software engineers and delivering engineering outcomes.
• Deep technical knowledge across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to make architecture trade‑offs balancing speed, scalability and maintainability.
• Excellent people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
• Product sense to connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes.
