Engineering Manager - Stock Trading App

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high‑performing team building and scaling a stock trading application used by millions across Southeast Asia. The role combines technical leadership with people management to deliver reliable, fast, and customer‑focused products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend and full‑stack development, ensuring high quality and rapid delivery.
• Own engineering delivery for major product areas, driving architecture decisions for APIs, databases, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Set and enforce standards for code quality, testing, observability, security and production reliability.
• Coach engineers through feedback, performance management and career development.
• Monitor production systems, resolve incidents and implement root‑cause fixes.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production systems.
• Proven experience leading or managing software engineers and owning delivery.
• Ability to make sound architectural trade‑offs while balancing speed, scalability and maintainability.
• Excellent people leadership, capable of building high‑performing teams.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment.
