Flight Operations Engineer – Aircraft Performance

About the role

The Flight Operations Engineer – Aircraft Performance supports Airbus and other OEM operators by defining flight operations standards and delivering performance‑related training and services. Working closely with the Flight Operations Support & Training Standards department and NAVBLUE, the role ensures accurate performance data and software are available for safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Author and update performance data in flight operations manuals (FCOM, FCTM, QRH, AFM, MMEL) as requested.
• Manage aircraft configuration data to guarantee coverage in relevant manuals.
• Respond to customer queries on aircraft performance and performance software (PEP, FlySmart+).
• Conduct functional testing of new performance software versions.
• Deliver performance‑focused training sessions for Airbus fleet operators.
• Perform performance studies and analyses to support standards or aircraft design.
• Provide performance calculations and data as part of Flight Operations Services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in airline operations or a comparable field.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience working in an international, multifunctional environment.
• Project‑management knowledge and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Customer‑service mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
