Head of Sourcing - Building Materials

About the role

HRnetOne is recruiting a Head of Sourcing for building materials, based in Thailand. The role covers sourcing strategies for house-brand products, supplier partnerships and negotiations, with a focus on manufacturers and suppliers in China.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for house-brand products, ensuring competitive pricing, quality and availability.
• Identify, evaluate and establish strategic partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers, especially in China.
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, payment terms, product specifications, quality standards and delivery schedules.
• Identify new products and sourcing opportunities in building materials, furniture, home furnishings and home decoration.
• Monitor supplier performance, product quality, cost efficiency and supply chain risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing with business objectives.
• Carry out regular supplier visits and business trips to China.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement or supplier management, preferably at Senior Manager, AVP or VP level.
• Proven experience sourcing products from China and working directly with Chinese manufacturers.
• Background in building materials, furniture, home furnishings or home improvement is highly preferred; house-brand or private-label sourcing experience is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required; Chinese language is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, commercial, analytical and supplier relationship management skills.
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
