Project Manager - Energy System

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY (THAILAND) LIMITED is looking for an Energy System Project Manager in Bangkok. The role leads the execution of projects so that all activities follow company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets and schedule commitments, while supporting continuous improvement of project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project team, set the execution approach and oversee hand-over, planning, monitoring and control for internal and external resources
• Monitor progress, resource use and project finances, including invoicing, costs, expenses and cash flow
• Identify, quantify and manage risks and pursue opportunities
• Drive formal project acceptance, contract close-out and customer acknowledgement
• Procure services, materials and equipment from internal and external suppliers, supporting negotiations, claims and project changes
• Define project plans (scope, financial, schedule and risk plans) together with the Project Controls department and ensure they are followed
• Capture and share lessons learned and ensure formal project closure
• Act as key customer contact and escalation point, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Electrical Engineering)
• At least 5 years of proven project management experience, preferably in a large multinational corporation
• Native Thai and fluent English
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification highly desirable

Required skills

• Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, P6, Power BI and SAP
• Leadership, communication and multi-project management abilities
