Research Analyst

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme is seeking a Research Analyst to support the Thailand Policy Lab (TPLab). The role will contribute to the design, analysis and dissemination of innovative public‑policy solutions that align with Thailand’s development priorities and the OECD accession agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and evidence‑gathering on emerging policy issues in Thailand and the wider Asia‑Pacific region.
• Develop systemic policy recommendations using approaches such as human‑centered design, systems thinking, foresight and scenario planning.
• Produce comprehensive knowledge products and formal policy briefs for delivery to government ministries and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate inclusive participation of government, academia, private sector and civil society in the policy innovation process.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of policy recommendations and share lessons learned across the UNDP network.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public policy, economics, social sciences or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, research design and knowledge management.
• Strong understanding of innovation methodologies and public‑service transformation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
