Safety, Health & Environment Admin Officer

About the role

Ingredion is hiring a Safety, Health & Environment Admin Officer in Sikhiu, reporting to the EHS & Sustainability Manager. The role covers safety documentation, incident reporting, permit and environmental report management, and support of food safety and quality systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare inspection reports for emergency equipment such as fire water systems, emergency alarms, emergency lighting and fire exits.
• Maintain safety communication boards, publish safety news, prepare monthly safety newsletters, communicate accident statistics and issue monthly reports.
• Prepare safety induction documents for contractors and new employees and arrange personal protective equipment for them and visitors.
• Maintain EHS documentation systems in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GHPS, HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC, ISO 9000, URSA and SMETA requirements.
• Prepare minutes for Safety Committee and problem-solving review meetings, and analyse accident and illness data.
• Act as recorder and communication coordinator under the fire prevention and firefighting plan, and support the annual Safety, Health and Environment plan.
• Manage permits, environmental reports and EIA requirements in compliance with applicable laws, and report abnormal conditions affecting safety, the environment, operations or food safety.
• Support quality and food safety systems including FSSC 22000, GHPS, HACCP, HALAL, KOSHER, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, NON-GMO and others.
• Take part in work process improvement, Tier meetings, incident investigations, root cause analysis and safety improvement presentations.

Required profile

• Diploma certificate (higher vocational certificate) or higher in any field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
