Senior Compliance Specialist – Global Compliance & Ethics (Bangkok)

About the role

Agoda is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to lead and support its Global Compliance & Ethics program from Bangkok. The role is an individual contributor position that will drive compliance initiatives, policy development, and ethical culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day compliance and ethics initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of objectives and reporting.
• Review gifts & entertainment, conflicts of interest, third‑party due diligence, risk assessments, monitoring and testing, and implement mitigation actions with stakeholders.
• Develop, implement and enhance compliance policies, procedures and SOPs to address evolving business and regulatory risks.
• Support creation and delivery of compliance training programs, both in‑person and virtual, and update e‑learning materials.
• Promote an ethical culture through awareness campaigns, employee engagement and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Government Affairs, People, Commercial, Supply and other teams to embed compliance requirements into business processes.
• Drive continuous improvement using new technologies and digital tools to streamline workflows.
• Prepare management updates, reporting materials and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide additional ad‑hoc support to mature the compliance & ethics function.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, ethics, legal or risk functions within multinational medium‑to‑large organizations.
• Proactive thinker who develops solutions beyond assigned tasks.
• Detail‑oriented, able to see the big picture and navigate complex compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• High integrity and ability to operate independently as a self‑starter.
• Energetic, fast‑paced mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
• Experience in the travel industry or technology sector.
