Senior Data Management Associate

About the role

The Senior Data Management Associate will support coherent, coordinated, and efficient data collection, analysis, and utilization across the IOM region, ensuring compliance with IOM and UN data standards and tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support rollout and implementation of standardized data collection tools, configure systems, and ensure data quality through monitoring, cleaning and validation.
• Consolidate data into central and regional data warehouses, provide surge data support, and develop datasets for analysis, dashboards and visualisations.
• Conduct training for national staff on data management, analysis and visualisation, and develop related training materials.
• Collaborate with regional and country offices to ensure data consistency, explore new data technologies and methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, information systems or related field with at least four years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Professional experience in data management, mapping and data systems within humanitarian or development contexts, including field data collection.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
