Signalling Engineer - Railway Engineering Design

About the role

Egis is looking for an experienced Signalling Engineer to join its Railway Engineering Design Center in Bangkok. The role involves designing and reviewing railway signalling systems and working with multidisciplinary teams on major railway projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review railway signalling designs, including scheme designs, interlocking and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with railway signalling standards and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with trackwork, civil and systems engineering teams.
• Prepare technical documentation such as signalling plans, block diagrams and system specifications.
• Support signalling schemes from concept design to detailed engineering, and take part in design reviews, risk assessments and safety case development.
• Provide technical support for installation, testing and commissioning.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders on technical queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in railway signalling design and engineering.
• Familiarity with international railway signalling standards (CENELEC, AREMA, IEC or equivalent).
• Understanding of system assurance, SIL and human factors in signalling design.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience on MRT, LRT or high-speed rail projects, and on heavy rail, CBI and ETCS Level 1 and 2, is a plus.
