Sustainable Cooling Expert – Asia Pacific (Consultant)

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is seeking a consultant to support its Cool Coalition and Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction in the Asia‑Pacific region. The role focuses on expanding climate‑friendly cooling, passive cooling solutions, and heat‑resilience initiatives across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop three funding proposals on passive and climate‑friendly cooling for the Asia‑Pacific.
• Engage stakeholders, donors, and strategic partners to build collaborations for cooling initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to countries translating commitments into funded programmes.
• Support knowledge‑product development, training, and advocacy activities.
• Contribute technical inputs to project deliverables, policy dialogues, and financing strategies.

Required profile

• Experience in climate‑change mitigation, sustainable cooling, or built‑environment projects.
• Proven ability to work with governments, donors, and international partners.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
