Treasury Accounting Senior Manager – Bangkok (relocation provided)

About the role

Agoda is seeking an experienced FX Controller to join its Finance team in Bangkok. The role focuses on the accounting and controllership of foreign‑currency transactions, derivatives and hedge activities across multiple entities and jurisdictions. You will ensure accurate, compliant FX accounting and provide analysis of material FX movements.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting for foreign‑currency transactions, balances, exposures and Treasury‑driven FX activity.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual FX close processes, including valuations, revaluations and journal entries.
• Review and approve FX‑related journal entries such as realized/unrealized gains, balance‑sheet revaluations and hedge entries.
• Perform reasonableness and trend analysis of FX gains/losses against exposures and market movements.
• Oversee accounting for FX derivatives (forwards, options, swaps) and hedge documentation.
• Develop and maintain a complete view of material foreign‑currency assets, liabilities and intercompany exposures.
• Govern exchange‑rate usage across ERP, Treasury and consolidation systems, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Deliver accurate FX accounting results for management, Treasury, group consolidation and statutory reporting.

Required profile

• Experienced accounting professional with strong technical knowledge of foreign exchange, derivatives and hedge accounting.
• Proven ability to work in a complex multinational environment and collaborate with Treasury, Controllership, Tax and Finance Systems teams.
