Treasury Specialist – FX (Front Office) – Bangkok

About the role

Agoda’s Bangkok Front Office FX team is expanding and seeks a Treasury Specialist – FX to execute trades, strengthen controls, and partner across product and payments functions. The role supports global FX hedging programs and acts as a deputy on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute foreign exchange transactions across global entities to hedge FX exposures, fund and repatriate cash, and support dividend and intercompany payment flows.
• Manage daily hedging using forwards, NDFs, FX swaps and options, ensuring accurate capture in treasury and ERP systems.
• Maintain and enhance global treasury policies, contribute to control design and automation.
• Develop understanding of FX P&L drivers and communicate insights to finance, accounting and senior stakeholders.
• Represent Treasury in cross‑functional initiatives with Product, FinTech and Payments, reviewing new features for FX exposure and liquidity impact.
• Lead strategic projects such as new B2B entity setup and global TMS implementation, collaborating with legal, tax and risk teams.
• Manage relationships with FX banking partners, including performance assessment and compliance with EMIR/ISDA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related quantitative field; Master’s or professional certification (CFA, ACT) a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of FX experience in corporate treasury or a bank with global FX dealing capabilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of capital, FX and interest‑rate markets and experience trading FX derivatives (forwards, NDFs, swaps, spots, options) with hedge‑accounting understanding.
• Excellent analytical and modelling skills, proficient in Excel; familiarity with AI‑assisted tools and coding (Python, VBA, SQL) a plus.
• Experience with treasury management systems (e.g., FIS Quantum), Bloomberg, Oracle ERP and reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Strong written and verbal communication, self‑directed and able to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
