Assistant Tax Manager - M&A and Tax Advisory

About the role

Join Forvis Mazars' young and dynamic tax advisory team in Bangkok, where you will work on a variety of tax advisory projects, including M&A tax due diligence, structuring, and transactional tax advice. You will collaborate with partners, directors and managers to deliver high‑quality tax solutions for corporate and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct M&A tax due diligence and structuring projects.
• Support business combinations, reorganisations and tax controversy matters.
• Perform tax health checks and develop tax planning strategies for corporate and individual clients.
• Provide tax advice on domestic and cross‑border transactions.
• Supervise and coach junior team members and contribute to firm training.
• Prepare and monitor engagement letters, manage resources and assist in marketing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Law or Economics (post‑graduate degree or CPA is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the tax department of an international accounting or law firm, or equivalent financial services experience.
• Highly competent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with MS Office software.
• Strong people‑management skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Proactive attitude, able to implement solutions and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team of professionals.
