Design Manager (Data Center)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Design Manager to lead data centre design projects in Bangkok. You will be responsible for delivering complex projects from concept through construction, acting as the primary liaison for clients and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects from initial design to construction and final review.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for client teams.
• Lead and coordinate large, multidisciplinary design teams covering mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, security, architectural and ICT disciplines.
• Collaborate with local and regional design groups to ensure overall design integrity.
• Oversee production of design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, BIM models and other technical documents.
• Chair internal and external design meetings.
• Manage project components, budgets, schedules, quality assurance and client feedback.
• Assist with workload management, resource forecasting and proposal preparation.
• Review compliance of drawings, reports, specifications and surveys.
• Build and maintain client relationships and identify business opportunities.
• Apply construction and engineering project‑management principles across the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on data centre or similar infrastructure projects.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrated capability in budgeting, scheduling and quality assurance.
• Experience in workload planning, resource forecasting and proposal development.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
