Project Manager – Data Center Projects

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Project Manager to lead data centre projects within its Buildings business. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex infrastructure from design through construction, ensuring client satisfaction and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of data centre projects, from concept design to final hand‑over.
• Serve as the primary client liaison for day‑to‑day project matters.
• Lead and coordinate a large, multi‑disciplinary design team covering mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, security, architectural and ICT disciplines.
• Produce and review design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, BIM models and reports.
• Chair internal and external design meetings and manage project budgets, schedules, quality assurance and client feedback.
• Support workload management, resource forecasting and proposal preparation.
• Ensure compliance with all technical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and develop business opportunities through strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale engineering or construction projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Understanding of construction and engineering project management principles.

Required skills

• BIM (Building Information Modelling) proficiency.
• Project management methodologies and tools.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, security, architectural and ICT engineering disciplines.
