Accountant - Thailand Legal Entities

About the role

The Accountant supports day-to-day accounting, statutory reporting, tax compliance, audit, treasury coordination and local compliance for the Thailand legal entities. The role prepares operational deliverables and works closely with the ASEAN Platform Finance Manager, who reviews key submissions and keeps oversight of major finance and compliance matters. It is the primary local finance contact for routine accounting and coordinates with BPO teams, external advisors, auditors and regional functions. The position is based on-site in Bangkok.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting and financial reporting: month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations; accurate general ledger; statutory financial statement schedules and IFRS reporting support
• Tax compliance: VAT, withholding tax and corporate income tax schedules and filings, tax reconciliations, and support for tax authority inquiries and audits
• Audit support: audit schedules, information requests, tracking of findings and follow-up actions
• Treasury and banking: local banking administration, cash monitoring and cash forecasting inputs, coordination with the regional treasury team and local banks
• Compliance, controls and governance: local finance compliance calendar, regulatory compliance, internal controls and process improvements
• BPO coordination: reviewing outsourced finance deliverables, tracking service quality and supporting standardisation and transition

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience; multinational experience preferred
• Practical exposure to statutory reporting, tax compliance and external audits; manufacturing or shared-service experience is advantageous
• Working knowledge of Thai accounting requirements and IFRS fundamentals
• Business proficiency in English and Thai

Required skills

• SAP experience preferred; SAP S/4HANA exposure is advantageous
• Strong Microsoft Excel and reconciliation skills
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple deadlines and work in a lean, changing environment
