Application Specialist – Technical Solutions for Cutting Tools

About the role

The Application Specialist will drive market share growth, introduce new products and strengthen customer relationships across Southeast Asia. Based in Thailand (or Indonesia/Vietnam) and reporting to the Country Manager, you will act as the technical bridge between customers and our cutting‑tool solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customers' technical needs and propose tailored solutions (pre‑sales).
• Identify and develop new application areas while expanding existing ones.
• Resolve implementation issues, provide post‑sales support and conduct training.
• Prepare technical proposals and integrate our products with customers' equipment.
• Answer complex technical questions about products, systems or services.
• Develop test applications and customer‑specific components.
• Collaborate with hardware, software and systems engineers to customise solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy or related field.
• Minimum 7 + years experience in cutting tools, metalworking or machinery industry.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
• Team‑player who can work cross‑functionally with engineering and production teams.
