Assistant Entertainment Manager

About the role

RIU Palace Phuket, a flagship 5-star resort with 504 rooms in Mai Khao, is hiring an Assistant Entertainment Manager. The role is the right hand to the Entertainment Manager, balancing administrative precision with hands-on floor management, from coaching performers to keeping the resort's entertainment programme running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily rehearsals and show practices, give real-time feedback and support the formal appraisal process
• Create and distribute weekly team rosters so all venues are properly staffed
• Monitor activities and passenger responses on the floor
• Audit venue "vibe" checks: ambient lighting, sound levels and background music, and ensure performances start on time
• Work with the Engineering team to log equipment faults and avoid show downtime
• Assist the Entertainment Manager with Resort News and daily schedules, and prepare weekly reports
• Support the EM in team meetings and sessions with Dance Captains, Kids Hosts and Tech teams
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and resort/ship-side drills

Required profile

• Minimum 2-4 years in entertainment operations or performance arts, preferably in a supervisory or lead capacity in a resort or cruise environment
• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Performance Arts, Events Management or a related field
• Strong spoken and written English; Thai is a must
