Assistant Restaurant Manager - Chinese Speaking

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager for its Chinese restaurant. The role supports the Area Manager in planning, organizing, controlling and directing the work of restaurant staff while ensuring guest satisfaction. Candidates must speak and write English fluently and Thai is required, and must hold the legal right to work in Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Area Manager in managing restaurant and bar staff and maintaining food, wine, spirits and cocktail knowledge
• Handle guest complaints, special requests and group bookings, and promote good public relations
• Ensure excellent product quality at a fair price and describe the quality of food, ingredients and preparation methods
• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate and discipline staff, and give on-the-job and classroom training
• Control labour and operating costs through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing and inventory and cash control
• Attend operational meetings, forecast workloads and prepare schedules, and recommend improvements to facilities and equipment
• Operate computer equipment and food and beverage computer systems

Required profile

• 1 to 2 years' experience as an Assistant Outlet Manager in a food and beverage outlet
• College education or equivalent experience; similar experience in luxury hotels is an advantage
• Knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, labour control, maintenance, merchandising and accounting
• Reading, writing and oral English proficiency; Thai is required
• Positive, energetic and professional attitude with a proactive approach to guest needs
• Legal right to work in Thailand
