Clean Transportation Project Manager – Thailand

About the role

The ICCT is seeking an entrepreneurial professional to lead its clean fuel and vehicle policy portfolio in Thailand. This role combines technical research with strong stakeholder engagement, acting as the organisation's first in‑country representative.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, NGOs, industry partners, academics and media across Thailand.
• Develop and implement the ICCT’s policy strategy for Thailand in collaboration with global program staff.
• Organise outreach events, public conferences and private meetings to discuss and shape transportation policies.
• Write and review technical reports, policy briefs, blogs, social media posts and other communication materials.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of vehicle‑emission reduction technologies and operational strategies.
• Support research on domestic manufacturing and assembly of zero‑emission vehicles and engage stakeholders to strengthen Thailand’s EV value chain.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Thai policy‑making processes and established connections within government, industry and NGOs.
• 3+ years of stakeholder engagement and/or research experience, preferably in transportation.
• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in engineering, environmental science, policy, energy, transportation or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Thai.
• Ability to work independently, set priorities and represent the organisation without day‑to‑day supervision.
