Data Analyst – Hybrid, Bangkok

About the role

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join a multinational financial services firm in Bangkok. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of on‑site collaboration and remote work while handling real trading and commercial data.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business data across deposits, withdrawals, trading volumes, customer behaviour, partner structures, promotions and bonuses.
• Identify anomalies, unusual trends and data discrepancies, investigate root causes and flag business risks.
• Reconcile data from CRM, trading platforms, internal ledgers and other systems to ensure accuracy.
• Build, maintain and automate daily, weekly and monthly reports for management and business teams.
• Translate complex datasets into clear findings, insights and recommendations for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Investigate business questions such as churn, promotion performance and policy impact.
• Identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement through data analysis.
• Collaborate with IT and AI teams to define data requirements and new queries.
• Document data sources, methodologies, assumptions and findings for transparency.
• Continuously improve analytical processes and reduce manual reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional data analysis experience.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong SQL skills, including multi‑table joins, window functions and handling large datasets.
• Hands‑on Python experience using pandas, Polars or similar libraries.
• Analytical mindset with ability to investigate anomalies and determine root causes.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to non‑technical audiences.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude in analytical workflows.
• Strong ownership mentality and ability to drive tasks from question to conclusion.
• Experience in Forex/CFD, brokerage, fintech or other financial services is a strong advantage.
