Data Scientist / Senior Analyst - Supply Analytics (Bangkok)

About the role

Agoda's Supply Analytics team delivers data-driven insights and decision support to optimize its supply ecosystem, analyzing partner and marketplace dynamics, building forecasts and models, running experiments and creating dashboards and data products. This Senior Analyst position reports to the Senior Manager or Associate Director within the Supply Department and is an individual contributor role working directly with partners on the ground. It is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and is not open to remote work; relocation is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Turn internal briefs into analytical projects, refine the brief, work through hypotheses and storyboard the output
• Analyze data from large-scale data warehouses and present statistically sound analysis to business stakeholders
• Proactively identify growth opportunities in supply and the wider business
• Drive new analytical initiatives and projects to improve organizational efficiency and shape Agoda supply
• Lead projects that scale up how the Supply organization uses data, insights and intelligence
• Automate manual operational processes and report the time saved

Required profile

• 2-5+ years of experience as an analyst in analytics, data science, insights, strategy or BI
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a business or quantitative subject (computer science, mathematics, engineering, science, economics or finance)
• Experience presenting to senior leadership and C-suite, and stakeholder management
• Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritize
• Nice to have: MBA or master's in a quantitative subject, program management certification (PMI, PRINCE2), Asian market experience, and travel, e-commerce, tech, consulting or data experience

Required skills

• SQL (advanced working knowledge and hands-on experience)
• Data visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred)
• Excel, Python or R
• Statistical modelling and machine learning techniques (hypothesis testing, regression, logistic regression, random forest)
• A/B testing experimentation
