About the role
The Distribution Manager Thailand provides operational, compliance and coordination support for Thailand distribution operations, including import licensing, customs clearance, regulatory documentation, logistics execution and routine third-party logistics (3PL) management. The role is an individual contributor with no people reporting initially, reporting to the Regional Head of Distribution Emerging Markets Asia, and operating from ResMed Bangkok three times a week, including a weekly or fortnightly visit to the DKSH 3PL. As the business grows, the manager will eventually manage a team.
Key responsibilities

- Customs and shipment coordination: work with freight forwarders on customs clearance, shipment documentation and exception handling, and lead follow-up on damaged, missing, delayed or blocked shipments.
- Logistics execution: coordinate end-to-end clearance with freight forwarders, manage delivery schedules and dates with the 3PL, and coordinate replacement shipments and credit notes with the Customer Supply Chain.
- 3PL coordination: act as the key operational contact for the 3PL warehouse, review service performance and open issues, check product materials such as user guides and labels, and drive corrective actions and process improvements.
- Regulatory documentation: review and renew authorisation documents such as Power of Attorney, and keep audit-ready records of approvals, declarations and correspondence.
- Continuous improvement: identify risks and trends, support operational reporting and metrics, and lead small process improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Master's or bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in logistics, supply chain, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Thailand distribution operations, logistics coordination, import/export, customs matters, TH FDA, TISI, NBTC matters, customer service operations or regulatory documentation support.
- Ability to manage shipment, compliance and partner coordination independently with limited supervision.
- Preferred: experience in medical device, healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution in Thailand; familiarity with import licensing, customs clearance, FDA clearance, TISI, NBTC and Excise Department declarations; experience with Power of Attorney documents, master product lists, product mapping and Advance Shipment Notices.
Required skills
- Strong working knowledge of shipment documentation, customs clearance coordination, import licensing follow-up and exception management.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain audit-ready records.
- Clear communication with customers, internal stakeholders, freight forwarders and 3PL partners, and ability to influence without direct authority.
- Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools for tracking, reporting and root-cause follow-up.
