Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager manages procurement of products to support business operations, ensuring reliable supply, competitive costs and strong supplier partnerships while complying with corporate policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role works closely with commercial teams, supply chain functions and global procurement stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement from local and international suppliers, identify and onboard new suppliers, negotiate pricing and payment terms, and maintain alternative suppliers
• Support commercial teams with sourcing strategies, supply availability and value-added sourcing solutions for strategic customers
• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, including purchase orders, order confirmation, shipment scheduling and supplier performance monitoring
• Deliver annual savings targets, track the savings pipeline and report realized benefits
• Build supplier relationships, run performance reviews, support supplier audits and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate with planning and inventory teams on stock levels and demand forecasting
• Control and monitor imported and exported shipments, including customs formalities, and monitor payments against agreed terms
• Lead and develop procurement staff, promote collaboration across teams, and drive continuous improvement and process simplification
• Support implementation of new procurement systems and tools, including SAP MM P2P module improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of procurement or sourcing experience in chemical distribution, manufacturing or industrial sectors
• Experience with international suppliers and import/export processes
• Experience supporting multinational or strategic accounts is preferred

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and ability to drive process improvements
